Here on The Last Ward we follow the T-1 , or Tier 1, system.
Question: What is T-1(Tier 1)?
Answer: Tier 1 is a kind of battle system that is often used in chats such as RPGs or forums such as this. It is a turn-based/paragraph fighting system that requires a detailed post from up to a paragraph or more. It is based on honesty and trust between the players.
Question: How many attacks can I do?:
Answer: There is a one attack per paragraph limit, meaning you cannot have two attacks in just one paragraph. Battle Mods, when implemented, will keep an eye on this to make sure everyone is following this rule. If there is more than one attack in a paragraph you will be asked to fix it and if it is done more than once you will be disqualified.
I don't want my character to get hit!
Response: Then don't fight, it's as simple as that. In a battle you can not just simply avoid attacks all the time and expect to have your hits make contact with the other player, that is a form of godmodding in of itself and says that your character is far stronger then the other. Be fair.
Question: Can my character die in battle?
Answer: Only if Death is Enabled can a character die and be warned that you enter those threads labeled (DE) at your own risk knowing full well that your character can die in that thread. Not all battle threads have to have Death enabled.
The system basically goes as such;
†Person 1 makes an attack:
†Person 2: can either defend themselves, take the hit or avoid it and then make their attack.
†Person 1: can do the same as above.
But remember it isn't fun if all that is going on is someone avoiding each others hits. Both players HAVE to take hits eventually otherwise it would be unrealistic and pointless to fight. Also remember that one cannot make an attack TWICE in one paragraph. If you wish to make more than one hit write a longer and more detailed response.
When in battle there is a 100+ Word limit, this ensures that posts will be good in length and easily responded to by the other roleplayer.
